An individual dressed in all black with a black mask and black gloves on went into the attendant's booth at the Fuel 4 gas station on River Drive and held a hard object, believed to be a handgun, against the attendant's ribs around 8 p.m. Monday, Chief Michael Foligno said.
The actor demanded money and threatened to shoot the attendant, who turned over $1,300 in cash, Foligno said.
The assailant fled toward Chamberlain Avenue on foot.
The area was searched by the Bergen County Sheriff's Department K9 unit.
Elmwood Park Detectives are reviewing surveillance video and investigating. The victim was shaken up but not injured.
